Three ways to install, depending on what you watch on. Pick the one that matches your device — the app itself is identical in all three.

The rule is simple: installed from Google Play, you pay inside the app. Installed any other way, you pay on the payment page and the activation is attached to your device the same way.
1. Android phone or tablet
The shortest route. Install from Google Play, open the app once, and it shows you a Device ID and a Device Key. Those two codes are your account — there is nothing to create, no email, no password.
2. Android TV and Google TV
Two options, and the second one is far more comfortable:
- On the TV. Open the Play Store on the television and search “Aquar Player”.
- From your phone. Open the Play Store listing on your phone, choose your television in the device selector, and install. The app appears on the TV a minute later, without typing anything with the remote.
If the box has no Play Store — some cheap Android TV boxes do not — use the direct APK. Copy it to a USB stick, or use a file manager app that can open a link.
3. Fire TV Stick
Amazon devices have no Google Play, so everything goes through the free Downloader app. It takes about three minutes and we wrote it out step by step on the Fire TV install page, including the short code to type.
Worth knowing before you start: Fire OS blocks installs from outside Amazon until you allow it, in Settings → My Fire TV → Developer options → Install unknown apps. That switch is per-app, and you only need to turn it on for Downloader.
What happens at the first launch
- The app shows a Device ID (looks like
FA:BD:F7:37:86:53) and a Device Key (six characters). - Your 7-day free trial starts on its own. No card, no sign-up.
- Add your playlist — either in the app, or from aquarplayer.com/manage on your phone, which is the sane way to enter a long Xtream password.
- Your channels, movies and series appear, sorted into categories.
Is the APK safe to install?
An APK is simply the Android installer file, the same package Google Play delivers. What matters is where you take it from. Download it only from aquarplayer.com: a file taken from a random mirror can be repackaged with anything inside. Every build we publish is signed with the same key, which is also why an update installs cleanly over the previous one instead of failing.
Updating later
Installed from Google Play, updates arrive on their own. Installed by APK, download the newer file and install it over the old one — your playlist, your favorites and your activation stay in place, because the activation follows the Device ID rather than the installation.
Reminder. Aquar Player is a player. It does not come with channels and does not sell any. You bring the M3U link or the Xtream Codes you already pay for elsewhere.
